O N78 tem um design muito interessante com a vantagem de não contar com o problemático (apesar de útil) slider, além de ter um rádio FM, uma câmera de 3.2 megapixel com foco automático, AGPS, sistema operacional Symbian S60 3rd Feature Pack 2, Bluetooth e WiFi.
